Description
Characteristics
Application

WATERBLOCK | Waterproofing mixture in powder form, mixed with water before use.

  • Contains cement, pyrite cinder and chemical additives that create water-tight compounds, significantly improve adhesion and workability of the finished product;

  • Once cured, WATERBLOCK - creates a tough and completely waterproof layer;

  • WATERBLOCK provides the structure with an unlimited period of protection against water;

  • Provides complete watertightness under hydrostatic pressure DIN 1048;

  • The material is absolutely waterproof, but at the same time, it allows building structures to “breathe” – (vapor permeable);

  • WATERBLOCK is non-toxic and can be used for waterproofing drinking water tanks;

  • Suitable for permanent contact with water.

Application area

  • Basement floor waterproofing.

  • Foundation waterproofing.

  • Floor waterproofing in a private house.

  • Floor waterproofing in the apartment.

  • Waterproofing the floor in the bathroom under the tiles.

  • Floor waterproofing before screed.

  • Waterproofing of basement walls (negative).

  • Waterproofing the floor in the garage.

  • Floor waterproofing on an open terrace.

  • Floor waterproofing on an open balcony.

  • Terraced gardens -roof garden;

  • Ideal for waterproofing against simple moisture and against pressurized water ;

  • Provides waterproofing of basements from the outside (outside), as having excellent adhesion, it resists negative water pressure well;

  • Suitable for waterproofing enclosing walls.

  • Apply to it before plastering - at the points of contact of the wall with the ground;

  • Gray color of the material in case of covered terraces and white color in case of terraces exposed to solar radiation).

Contact with drinking water

According to the certificate of the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry of Thessaloniki University, WATERBLOCK is suitable for use in potable water tanks

Application temperature:

≥ + 5°C

The performance of the finished mixture:

≤ 90 min.

Foundation preparation

  • The surface must be cleaned of dust, crumbling fragments, grease and oil stains, old plaster, paint, etc.;

  • Water leaks should be sealed with ultrafast cement, WATERFIX polymer-cement mixture;

  • Cleaned voids, cells and defects in concrete structures are filled and leveled with cement mortar with the addition of VIRESIN polymer emulsion or ready-made VIMACRET repair mortar;

  • Cold joints are processed in the same way during concreting;

  • At the transition from the wall to the floor, a fillet is formed from the cement mortar with the addition of VIRESIN polymer emulsion or VIMACRET polymer-cement mixture;

  • If the surface is made of brick or masonry, then before applying WATERBLOCK, a layer of cement plaster with the addition of VIRESIN is applied;

  • When waterproofing the basements of old buildings, it is necessary to remove the old plaster to a height of 50-60 cm from the basement level and then apply the above proposed technologies for using this product;

  • If the base is not wet, then it must be well moistened without creating puddles on the surface of the structure;

  • Do not use WATERBLOCK at temperatures below + 5 οC;

Solution preparation

  • WATERBLOCK is gradually added to the water and mixed thoroughly until a homogeneous mass suitable for brushing is created;

  • After waiting approximately 5 minutes (the time required for the fresh mortar to mature), the mortar is mixed again and the coating is ready for use.

 Application

  • Depending on the needs of solving a particular problem, from 2 to 5 layers of coating are applied to the surface;

  • The consumption in this case is approximately 1 kg of material per layer with a thickness of 0.5 mm;

  • The subsequent coating is applied after the previous layer has dried;

  • The final product can be applied with a trowel if it is suitable for workability, while reducing the amount of mixing water.

Waterproofing protection

  • The freshly plastered surface must be protected from high temperatures, wind (risk of dehydration), rain and frost;

  • The surface covered with WATERBLOCK due to the thin layer of coating is quite sensitive to mechanical stress;

  • Used floors covered with WATERBLOCK waterproof coating must be protected with a layer of cement screed.

 Attention

  •  After applying WATERBLOCKthe surface is ready for water exposure - after 3 days;

  •  To the effect of positive water pressure - after the seventh day;

  • To the effect of negative water pressure - if the coating applied has sufficient strength.
