One-component moisture-resistant polyurethane sealant for floors
Polyurethane sealant for concrete floors
Polyurethane floor sealant
Polyurethane sealant for seams
Vimaseal PU | Polyurethane sealant
-
For sealing and gluing, between similar and dissimilar bases, in the automotive industry and the naval industry.
-
The sealant is used with metal, concrete, glass, steel, wood, anodized aluminum, tiles, PVC, etc.
Physical properties of polyurethane sealant
-
Elastic, resistant to movements;
-
Good adhesive ability to heterogeneous materials;
-
It is easily applied at temperatures from +5 to +40 oC;
-
Very good resistance to aging (UV and moisture);
-
High mechanical strength;
-
Operating temperature: from -20 to +90 oC;
- Paintable

Preparation of the seam
-
The surface of the seam must be clean, dry and free from dust , oil, grease, old sealant and any traces of contamination that may affect adhesion.
-
The surface should be degreased with a solvent using a clean cloth. Use degreased compressed air to remove dust.
Priming
-
VIMASEAL-PU - polyurethane sealant usually does not require a primer on most bases;
-
In specific cases, seam polyurethane primer (Joint Primer) is used for seams.
-
Use the sealant from 15 minutes to 3 hours after applying the primer.
Seam
-
The possibility of applying the sealant is determined on the spot by experimentally filling the seam;
-
The width of the seam should be twice the depth.
-
When the width is greater than 20 mm, the depth is equal to half the width;
- The width of the seams should not be less than 5 mm and more than 40 mm.
Sealant application
-
We cut the nozzle of the conical nozzle diagonally to form a hole proportional to the width of the seam;
-
We put the cartridge / "sausage" in a manual or pneumatic gun-injector, and fill the seam with sealant;
-
Form with the help of a spatula from still unhardened sealant, the surface of the seam in the form of a negative crescent;
- For the sealant to work well, it is important that the sealant joins the two sides of the seam;
-
To achieve this goal, install a polyethylene or polyurethane foam cord in the seam .
-
Apply the sealant, making sure that all cavities and voids (through which the material may leak) are closed.
-
Using a sealant tool, spread the material along the seam with a little pressure. This operation is performed with a spatula before the formation of a film;
-
Excess sealant should be removed, and the surface should be cleaned with a solvent (for example, white spirit);
-
Hardened sealant can only be removed by sanding.
Packaging
-
Cardboard box of 25 aluminum cartridges;
-
300 ml or 15 aluminum sausages of 600 ml each.
Expiry date
9 months minimum (when stored in places with normal temperature and humidity).
