Vivalflex PU 40 | One-component polyurethane sealant
VivalFlex PU40 | Application of polyurethane sealant
-
For sealing, insulation, compaction of internal and external expansion joints, gaps, joints, joints exposed to mechanical effects, thermal expansion, vibration and deformation (according to ISO 11600).
-
The sealant has excellent adhesion without the use of a primer to most bases: concrete, terracotta, anodized aluminum, metals, wood, etc.
- The product is manufactured at a high-tech plant in France according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Scope of application
-
Gluing of wooden panels, installation of plinths, interior decoration.
-
Sealing and bonding in steel industry and production.
- Polyurethane sealant for seams.

Application of polyurethane sealant Vyvalflex PU 40
-
If necessary, use a polyurethane-based primer;
-
After the primer has dried, insert a sealing cord made of foamed polyethylene into the seam , which does not have adhesion to the sealant.
-
Try not to damage the cord;
-
Use masking tape to protect the edges of the seam from contamination.
-
Apply the sealant in one pass for small-width seams, or in three passes for large-width seams, with the first two passes along the seam walls and the last one in the middle;
-
Smooth the surface of the sealant with clean water;
-
Immediately remove the masking tape;
-
Clean the tool and contaminated surfaces with a solvent until the sealant has completely polymerized.
-
In the case of polymerization, cleaning can only be done mechanically;
-
After complete polymerization, it can be painted.
-
We recommend using water-based paint (acrylic or vinyl).
-
Test test areas to determine the possibility of applying the paint.
-
Movements in the seam can lead to cracks in the paint;
-
When gluing, it is possible to apply the sealant pointwise.
- Heavy materials weighing more than 8 Kg/m2 must be supported during gluing for 8-15 hours.
