Master Flow 928 | High Strength Equipment Gravy
Cement non-shrinking mortar for repairing concrete floors 20-200mm
Dry mix Emaco
Master Flow 928 | Ready-to-use material in the form of dry concrete mix Emako.
-
When mixed with water, Emako's bulk mixture forms a rheoplastic, fluid, non-separating, non-shrinking, high-strength composition;
-
The maximum aggregate size in MasterFlow 928 is 3 mm;
-
The composition does not contain metal fillers and chlorides.
APPLICATION AREA
MasterFlow 928 is used for high-precision grouting (gravy) under the bearing parts of columns and industrial equipment , such as:
-
gas or steam turbines;
-
generators, diesel engines;
-
various machines, presses;
-
hot and cold rolling mills;
-
pumps, compressors, crushers;
-
handling equipment;
-
gravy under the supporting parts of spans of bridges, overpasses;
-
arrangement of sub-truss elements;
- installation of barrier fences on highways, etc.
PACKAGE
MasterFlow 928 is packaged in 30kg waterproof bags.
CONSUMPTION
- To prepare 1 m3 of composition, 2100 kg of MasterFlow 928 dry mixture is required.
EXPIRY DATE AND STORAGE CONDITIONS
-
Warranty period of storage in a closed dry room at a temperature not lower than +5°C in undamaged original packaging is 12 months;
-
Do not use material from damaged packaging.
EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE
-
MasterFlow 928 can be used at air temperature, during work, from +5°С to +50°С;
-
At low ambient temperatures (from +5°С to +10°С), strength gains more slowly;
If high early strength is required, it is recommended:
-
store MasterFlow 928 bags in places protected from the cold;
-
use hot water for mixing (from +30°С to +40°С);
-
protect the laid material from the cold.
-
If the temperature is below +5°C, MasterEmaco T 1200 PG should be used.
-
If the ambient temperature is very high (above +35°C), then the only problem is the rapid loss of mobility of the composition.
-
As a rule, at temperatures from +15°C to +25°C, the pot life of the finished MasterFlow 928 compound is 45-60 minutes, but at higher temperatures, the workability is noticeably reduced.
At high temperatures, the following measures are recommended:
-
store MasterFlow 928 bags in a cool place;
-
use cold water for mixing;
- prepare the composition in the coolest time of the day.

PREPARATION OF THE FOUNDATION AND EQUIPMENT TO BE CEMENTED (CONCRETING)
-
Before installing the equipment, the damaged concrete should be removed using a light hammer, needle gun or water sandblaster, and the surface should be roughened;
-
It is necessary to carefully clean the bolts and the supporting surface of the bed base (equipment base plate) from grease and oil stains, dust and other contaminants that may interfere with the hydration of the cement;
-
Make sure that air outlet holes have been made on the base of the bed;
-
Install, level, level the equipment and make sure that in the subsequent stages of work the place of the final installation will not change;
-
If it is necessary to remove the wedges after completing the pouring operation (see point 11), a thin layer of lubricant should be applied to them to facilitate removal.
FORMWORK
-
After installing and leveling the equipment and before pouring MasterFlow 928, it is necessary to impregnate the foundation concrete with water.
-
Residual water should be removed with compressed air;
-
In order to prevent leakage of the compound, the formwork must be made of durable waterproof material and securely anchored and supported to withstand the pressure of the compound after laying;
-
On the side from which MasterFlow 928 will be poured, a gap of 150 mm should be provided between the formwork and the base of the equipment frame;
-
On the sides, a gap of at least 50 mm should be provided between the formwork and the sides of the frame;
-
You can use other equipment for pouring MasterFlow 928 mixture, for example, mortar pumps, funnels, etc.;
-
When pouring foundations for large equipment and where MasterFlow 928 is required to flow freely , it may be beneficial to mix a more fluid primer mixture (water content about 5-10% more than maximum;
-
First prime the concrete base with a thinner mixture and then mix MasterFlow 928 to normal consistency;
-
Formwork should be sealed to prevent leakage of MasterFlow 928;
-
Styrofoam, the hard consistency material itself, or other suitable materials can be used.
COMPOSITION PREPARATION
Before mixing Emako MasterFlow 928 dry mix with water, you must:
-
check that the available amount of material will be sufficient, taking into account its consumption (2100 kg of MasterFlow 928 dry mixture for the preparation of 1 m3 of composition);
-
make sure that all necessary materials and equipment (mixers, carts, buckets, trowels, etc.) are at hand;
- check the implementation of the preliminary work prescribed in the subsections "Preparation of the foundation and equipment to be grouted (concreting)" and "Formwork".
For the correct preparation of the solution, use the following instructions:
-
open the bags with Emako MasterFlow 928 dry mix necessary for work shortly before mixing;
-
pour the minimum amount of water into the mixer;
-
turn on the mixer, and with constant stirring, slowly pour in the MasterFlow 928 dry mix;
-
after the entire mixture is poured, stirring continues for 3-4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is formed;
-
let the mixture stand for 3 minutes and mix again for 1 minute;
- if necessary, add water until the desired consistency is reached and mix again for 2 to 3 minutes.
The water content depends on the ambient temperature and relative humidity.
-
In hot and dry weather, more water may be required, in cold and humid weather, less.
-
For small batches, you can use a mixer (no more than 300-400 revolutions) with a spiral nozzle.
- Mixing the material with gravity-type mixers, as well as by hand, is not recommended.
INSTALLATION
After the Emako MasterFlow 928 leveling compound has been mixed with water, laying should be carried out as follows:
-
monitor the accuracy of equipment installation using a level placed on the base of the bed;
-
if the surface vibrates, check if vibration is transmitted from nearby machines;
-
if such a transfer occurs, the machines should be turned off at least until the laid MasterFlow 928 sets and the curing process begins (at least 10-12 hours at a temperature of + 200C), because vibration can reduce the adhesion of the MasterFlow 928 to the base plate.
-
Emako MasterFlow 928 dry mix should be poured continuously and only on one side to prevent air entrapment;
-
avoid pouring MasterFlow 928 from two opposite sides;
-
entrained air must be vented through holes previously made in the base plate;
-
guaranteed quality of work is provided by a steel cable or a flexible rod, previously laid between the base and the base plate;
-
the reciprocating movements of the cable, during laying, evenly distribute the material and eliminate air entrapment.
FINAL OPERATIONS AFTER LAYING
-
All exposed surfaces of the laid Emaco MasterFlow 928 must be immediately protected from moisture loss for a period of at least 24 hours;
-
Maintenance can be done by spraying with water, applying a damp burlap, or applying a MasterKure series film-forming compound ;
-
If, in order to remove the formwork, it is necessary to remove the edges or change their shape, this can be done with a trowel or hammer after setting and hardening has begun;
-
When using MasterFlow 928, it is not necessary to remove the backing pads, unless this operation is recommended by the equipment manufacturer;
-
The temporary wedges can be removed after two days provided they have been lubricated;
-
After putting the equipment into operation, a well-established method of maintenance, which prescribes the tight tightening of screws and bolts;
-
Use a torque wrench to evenly tighten the nuts to the recommended torque.
