  • Plastic fluid mortar, easy to apply on horizontal and vertical surfaces;

  • High adhesion to concrete, any cement base, as well as non-absorbent surfaces such as: ceramic tiles, natural polished stone, PVC linoleum;

  • High resistance to carbon dioxide, chlorides and sulfates.

Application area

  • Waterproofing of internal and external, floor and wall cement substrates before laying ceramic tiles, natural stone in bathrooms, showers, balconies, terraces, swimming pools;

  • The device of an elastic water-repellent layer on the walls near the ground, the foundation and the grouting of microcracks on the plaster;

  • Elastic putty for structures subject to deformation under load;

  • Elastic putty for internal surfaces made of ceramics, PVC, linoleum, etc. before subsequent cladding with ceramic tiles, natural stone on cement glue;

  • Waterproofing of drinking water storage tanks.

Foundation

The bases must be strong, clean, without rattling areas, cracks and cracks, have sufficient bearing capacity and have a sufficient maturation period;

 Foundation preparation

  • Surfaces must be pre-cleaned of all kinds of dirt, dust, traces of grease, oils, rust and any substances that may interfere with good adhesion;

  • Existing bases made of PVC, linoleum, etc. must be cleaned and degreased with suitable solvents;

  • Bases made of ceramic tiles or natural polished stone should be treated with a solution of caustic soda, washed and dried;

  • Porous and absorbent cementitious substrates, before applying the product, must be moistened with clean water and wait for the complete evaporation of its excess.

  • This will avoid too rapid drying of the waterproofing composition;

  • To speed up the evaporation process, excess water can be removed with a sponge or compressed air.

Solution preparation

  • Dilution ratio: Component A (24 kg - 1 bag) + Component B (8 kg - 1 canister);

  • Both components are packaged in the required proportion;

  • Pour component B (liquid) into a clean container, slowly pour component A (powder) into it, with continuous stirring with an electric drill with a mixing nozzle, until a homogeneous solution without lumps is obtained;

  • It is not recommended to mix the solution manually;

  • Keep the resulting solution for at least 5 minutes;

  • After repeated mixing, the material is ready for use.

Application

  • Apply the mortar with a smooth steel trowel, forming a layer at least 1 mm thick;

  • To ensure maximum waterproofing, the solution must be applied in two layers;

  • In wet rooms, on balconies, in pools and in places of constant contact with water, vertical and horizontal corners, places of protrusions and joints of wall-wall, wall-floor structures should be sealed with Litoband waterproofing material (tape, corners, squares - see .technical description);

  •  Litoband is laid on a fresh first layer of Elastocem;

  •  The second layer is applied when the first is partially dry (about 3-4 hours at t = +23°C);

  •  It is strongly recommended to lay a fiberglass alkali-resistant mesh with a cell of 4x5 mm between the two layers);

  •  The grid is sunk with a smooth steel spatula into a fresh first layer of mortar;

  •  On large surfaces, adjacent mesh sheets should be overlapped by about 10 cm.

 Laying tiles

  • Laying tiles can be started no earlier than after 5 days of maturation of Elastocem in favorable conditions at t = +23 °C;

  • Adhesive for subsequent cladding, choose depending on the area of application and tile format, guided by the summary tables;

  •  Recommended adhesive for cladding in swimming pools: - for laying tiles: Litoplus K55, Litokol X11+ Latexkol or Cementkol K21/K22 + Latexkol - for laying mosaics: Litoblanc K2 + Latexkol or Litoplu s K55.

Attention!

  • Do not add lime, cement, water to the product;
  • Do not apply the product on substrates subject to the effect of rising damp;

  • For outdoor use, protect against water and frost for the first 24 hours;

  • Do not exceed a total layer thickness of 2 mm;

  • To avoid too rapid drying of the fresh waterproofing layer, the treated surface must be protected with polyethylene membraine;

  • When choosing an adhesive for subsequent cladding, be sure to familiarize yourself with its technical card;

  • Do not use the product for purposes other than those specified in this technical description.
