Application

BOTAMENT EF 500 / EK 500 | Two-component epoxy tile adhesive and grout, for joints based on epoxy resin with high chemical resistance, for indoor and outdoor wall and floor coverings.

As a grout for joints, BOTAMENT EF 500 / EK 500 is used for joints with a width of 2 to 10 mm;

As an adhesive mixture, BOTAMENT EF 500 / EK 500 is used for covering ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, clinker floor tiles, clinker tiles, as well as ceramic and glass mosaics;

Simultaneous use as an adhesive mixture and grout for joints, preferably over other materials, since it has the same color, for fixing and grouting joints, which is extremely important when closing glass tiles and small mosaics.

Foundation preparation

When used as a grout for joints, the joints must be cleaned of adhesive material, delamination and dirt;

When used as an adhesive, the substrate must meet the following requirements: dry, clean and unfrozen, capable of bearing loads, free from grease, oil, paint, cement laitance, flaking and debris, level;

If BOTAMENT EF 500 / EK 500 is used exclusively as an adhesive mixture, grouting can be carried out 12 hours after laying the tiles;

All given time intervals are valid at a temperature of + 23 ° C and a relative humidity of 50%;

An increase in temperature accelerates, and a decrease in temperature correspondingly slows down the processing and curing time.

Application

Add component B to component A and mix with a low speed mixer for at least 3 minutes;
Therefore, to avoid mixing errors, pour BOTAMENT EF 500 / EK 500 into a clean container and mix again;

To use as an adhesive mixture, apply BOTAMENT EF 500 / EK 500 with a notched trowel (taking into account the open time of the adhesive) moving the tile from side to side, press it into the adhesive and level;

Use as a grout for joints, grout the joints using a special rubber grouting spatula, pre-wipe the surface with a damp sponge (for relief coatings, use a soft fleecy sponge), and then perform a thorough finish washing of the surface (until completely cleaned);

It is not necessary to change the washing water regularly;
it is impossible to mix the material again if it has begun to set;

The mixing ratios specified by the manufacturer must be strictly adhered to.
