Foundation preparation
-
To prevent discoloration of the grout, the tile adhesive must be fully cured before grouting.
-
The seams must be cleaned of dirt, debris, glue, peeling;
-
Cannot be used on aluminum and zinc surfaces.
Application
-
Pour the liquid component (B) into a clean mixing container, add the powder component (A) to the liquid;
-
Gently mix the mixture with a low-speed mixer (max. 400 rpm) until a homogeneous mass is obtained 3 - 5 minutes;
-
After ripening, stir again;
-
Rubbing seams must be carried out using a special rubber spatula;
-
Immediately after grouting, clean the surface with a dampened sponge;
- Change water for cleaning every 15 m2.
Coatings
-
If unglazed tiles are used, the dried cement film can be removed with a cement film remover;
-
In this case, the seams should be thoroughly moistened with water;
-
In case of intense heat load, especially under the influence of direct sunlight, strong winds or drafts, fresh joints must be quickly protected from drying out by taking appropriate measures;
- The hardening process has a positive effect, constant moistening of the surface of the seams.
Recommendations
-
BOTAMENT CF 200 must never be mixed with water, cement or pigments, as this may lead to a significant deterioration of the properties of the material;
-
Store only in original packaging;
-
Do not transport BOTAMENT CF 200 in containers made of zinc, aluminum or other light metals;
-
BOTAMENT CF 200 is a mineral material. Therefore, over time, the surface of the seam may become rough. However, this does not affect the performance of the material in any way;
- To compare the requirements of the respective project, in terms of mechanical, thermal and chemical loads, with the technical characteristics of BOTAMENT CF 200, please contact the FLOORTOP technical support service for advice;
-
The water in the pools must be kept in accordance with the rules and regulations.
-
Deviation from the norms can lead to damage to the material;
-
Since the color of the material of different batches may vary slightly, we recommend using material from the same batch on the same surface;
-
In any case, we recommend that you independently carry out a test application of the material before using it;
-
After grouting, the seams should be left open, but dust should not be allowed to enter;
-
Rough or open-pore tiles are more prone to showing grout residue on the surface, especially when using dark shades;
-
The use of acidic detergents may damage the seams;
-
If you have questions about the cleaning of the coating, or if the influence of substances that can damage the material is expected, please contact our support service.
