Shake hardener for industrial floors
Installation of industrial floors
Industrial floors for a warehouse
How are industrial floors made?
Let's consider a project for the installation of an industrial floor, the "topping floors" technology.
Real Project
Reconstruction of the production workshop, under the storage of finished paper products.

Industrial floors for a warehouse
A task
-
The final coating of the concrete floor must be with increased physical and mechanical characteristics.
-
Resistance to wear and abrasion, strength, absence of cement dust in the production room.
-
Concrete topping floors, will be operated at medium loads, loading and unloading equipment.
Solution
-
For this project, our company recommended the use of corundum-based dry hardener (topping), Fortedur 1020.
-
This technology will allow exploiting the concrete floor for 10-15 years.
Dry hardener for concrete (topping) | Dry shake toppings
Dry concrete floor hardener is a mixture containing special types of cements, modifying additives and fillers.
-
Topping increases durability and abrasion resistance.
- The price and characteristics of materials vary with respect to the filler of the mixture.
Preparation and placement of concrete
Types of dry hardener (topping)
Quartz fillers |
Contains quartz sand and dyes. Apply: for operation of a floor with average loadings (garages, warehouses, trading floors, etc.). |
Corundum additives |
In the form of corundum crumbs, which add a characteristic shine to the topping floor and make it resistant to wear. |
Metallized fillers based on metal chips |
1. Reinforce the surface layer of concrete to obtain a durable coating, but make it susceptible to corrosion. 2. Contain quartz sand and dyes. 3. Used for the operation of the floor with medium loads (garages, warehouses, trading floors, etc.). |

General technology for the production of topping concrete floors

The result of the industrial flooring project (topping)
-
2 times increase in the service life of the floor, compared to classic types of concrete, with a minimum increase in the final price.
-
Technology cost (topping) : 5 USD/sq.m.
-
Installation speed: 4 days.
-
Resistance to high operational loads of industrial floors.
-
Increased impact resistance of industrial floors.
-
They gave waterproofing properties to the floor surface, against the penetration of aggressive substances (oils, solvents, etc.).
-
Dust removal and anti-slip surface protection.
- Safety of industrial floor operation for personnel.

Operating recommendations
-
Periodically, every 3-4 years, carry out a procedure for hardening and dust removal of the concrete floor, using liquid silicate impregnations or varnish (membrane former).
- This will make it possible to maintain the high performance characteristics of the concrete base.
