Scope of adhesive for tiles MasterTile FLX 24
- Adhesive for tiles mastertile, used for indoor and outdoor, on vertical and horizontal surfaces.
-
For bonding ceramics, granite, marble, porcelain, natural stone, glass mosaics and pressed bricks on cement-based surfaces subject to rapid temperature changes.

Tile adhesive, used for gluing ceramics, granite, marble, natural stone and glass mosaics on surfaces sensitive to temperature changes, such as: gypsum board, gypsum plaster, heat-insulating boards, aerated concrete, after applying MasterTile P 300 RC primer on them.

Surface preparation
-
The surface must be smooth and solid, free from dust, lime, oils, grease, paint residues, etc.
-
Weakened concrete plaster layers must be removed, the surface with unevenness from 5 to 20 mm deep must be repaired two days before laying the tiles with MasterEmaco S 488 repair mortar.
- If the surface temperature exceeds +25°C, the surface must be moistened.
Gypsum based surfaces
-
On highly absorbent gypsum board, gypsum plaster, aerated concrete, lime plaster and fiberboard surfaces, 2 coats of MasterTile P 300 RC should be applied: the first coat diluted 1/1 with water and the second coat concentrated.
-
24 hours after application of MasterTile P 300 RC, the tiles can be laid.
Chipboard surfaces (OSB, etc.)
-
Particle boards must contain a maximum of 10% moisture. Floor chipboard (V100) must be at least 25 mm, wall chipboard 19 mm.
-
The plates must be screwed to the surface with screws with a distance of 30 cm.
-
The indentation from the edge must be at least 8 mm.
-
At the junction of particle boards, small grooves should be cut and filled with MasterFlex NP 474.
-
In dry environments, particle boards should be primed with MasterTile P 303 RC.
-
If the slabs are located in places subject to moisture (on the external facade), then it is necessary to apply a double layer with mesh reinforcement MasterTile WP 666.
Mixing
-
The required amount of water is poured into the mixing container using a measuring container.
-
Then MasterTile FLX 24 is slowly poured in and mixed with a mixer at 400-600 rpm for 3-5 minutes until a homogeneous mass without lumps is achieved.
- The mixture should be left for 3-5 minutes, and then mixed again for 30 seconds, after which the material will be ready for use.

Mode of application

A layer of MasterTile FLX 24 1 mm thick is applied to the surface with the even side of the trowel.
-
On the surface, which can be processed during the adjustment time - 20 minutes, with the notched side of the trowel, movements in one direction are applied with a uniform layer of MasterTile FLX 24.
-
When using ceramic or granite tiles of different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply mortar under each tile with a layer of 1 mm in order to fill the unevenness on the application surface.
-
To ensure full adhesion of ceramic or granite tiles to MasterTile FLX 24, lightly press them into the mortar and move them.
-
It is also necessary to leave the recommended joint distances depending on the size of the ceramic tiles or granite slabs.
-
BASF grouts should be used for grouting joints.
-
This procedure can be performed after about 24 hours.
Recommended stitch width
-
Less than 5 x 5 cm: 3 mm.
-
Less than 15 x 15 cm: 4 mm.
- Over 15 x 15 cm 6: 8 mm.
Adhesive test (correction time)
-
On the surface where the glue was applied, press with your fingers.
-
If the glue clings to the fingers, continue laying ceramic or granite tiles.
-
If the fingers remain clean, it means that the glue has expired.
-
In this case, remove the adhesive from the surface and apply a new adhesive.
Consumption
1.23 kg/m2 per 1 mm layer of MasterTile FLX 24 adhesive.
Precautionary measures
-
When using MasterTile FLX 24 , if the ambient or surface temperature is below +5°C or above +25°C, an acceptable temperature must be ensured.
-
In addition, work should not be carried out at excessively high temperatures, rainy or windy weather.
-
Do not add water or new material to a MasterTile FLX 24 mix that has begun to dry out.
-
Ceramic tiles with high absorbency must be saturated with water before use.
-
The application layer of MasterTile FLX 24 must not exceed 8 mm (min. 3 mm).
- When applied outside, the surface with the mortar applied must be protected from direct sunlight, wind, frost and rain for the first 24 hours.
Cleaning tools
After use, used tools and equipment should be rinsed with water. MasterTile FLX 24 can only be mechanically cleaned after hardening.

Storage

Storage should be carried out in the closed original packaging in a cool and dry place, avoiding freezing.

For short-term storage, one-on-one installation of no more than 3 pallets is allowed, shipment must be carried out in the order of receipt.

For long-term storage, one-on-one pallets are not allowed.
Best before date
-
12 months from date of manufacture under appropriate storage conditions.
- Material in open packaging should be kept tightly closed and should be used within a week.
Security measures

Do not approach storage areas during a fire.

Store products in well ventilated areas.
-
During work, work clothes, protective gloves, goggles and a mask should be used in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Since uncured materials have an irritating effect, the components should not be allowed to come into contact with the skin and eyes, and in case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.

If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
-
It is forbidden to bring food and drink to the construction site where the material is applied.
-
The material must be kept out of the reach of children.
