Application

BOTAMENT BE 901 Plus | It is used as a primer for bituminous coatings, as well as for the protection of underground parts of buildings and structures.

BOTAMENT BE 901 Plus is resistant to aggressive substances, spreading in the soil, in accordance with DIN 4030.

Properties

Primer for bituminous, thin- and thick-layer coatings and bituminous self-adhesive sheet BOTAMENT KSK;

For moisture protection of building elements in contact with soil, made of concrete and other mineral bases;

Can be applied by brush, roller or spray;

Can be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10;

Does not contain solvents.

Areas of use

As primer:

under bituminous thin and thick-layer coatings;

under the bituminous self-adhesive sheet BOTAMENT KSK.

As bituminous waterproofing:

For waterproofing building elements in contact with soil.
Roof and terrace waterproofing.
Waterproofing of the open terrace on the old roofing material.

Required Foundation

Concrete (strength class ≥ C12/15);

Stone-brick masonry;

Cement plaster (categories CS III and CS IV according to EN 998);

Old bituminous insulation (thin and thick layers).

Foundation preparation

The base must be clean and unfrozen, free from grease, oil, paint, cement laitance, delamination and construction debris;

It is also necessary to remove the protruding elements;
Clean the surface of the foundation from dirt and earth;

Make a chamfer (fillet) , for external corners (45 °);
Repair cracks with appropriate material;

Application

As a primer: depending on the application, can be applied by brush, roller or spray;

Proportions

As a primer for bituminous coatings: absorbent bases 1:10;

Highly absorbent bases 1:5;

As a primer for bituminous membranes, BOTAMENT KSK, weakly and strongly absorbent substrates 1:1 (undiluted);
As a bituminous coating: can be applied by brush, roller or spray;

When used as a waterproofing, coatings must be carried out in at least 2 layers;
