Application

LITOACRIL PLUS | Dispersion tile adhesive, ready to use, white color adhesive, based on an aqueous emulsion of synthetic resins, inert fillers and organic additives.

APPLICATION AREA

Designed for laying ceramic tiles on the floor and walls inside the premises , including on deformable bases, heated floors and for cladding in wet rooms;

It can also be used for laying tiles with an absorption coefficient of ≥ 3% on the following substrates:

existing ceramic coatings;

surfaces treated with Hidroflex waterproofing;

panels made of plywood type STVN and STVKh;

painted surfaces;

wooden absorbent surfaces;

used for internal lining of walls, floors and ceilings with polystyrene panels, glass wool, mineral wool, sound-absorbing and polyurethane foam panels on absorbent substrates.

BASE

The bases must be dry, even, strong, have sufficient bearing capacity;
Surfaces must be pre-cleaned from all sorts of dirt, dust, traces of grease, oils, paints and any substances that weaken the adhesive ability of the adhesive;

Existing ceramic coating should be pre-degreased with 10% caustic soda solution, rinsed and dried, and then applied with a thin layer of 1 mm Litoacril Plus adhesive to improve adhesion;
After drying, you can proceed to the lining;

The painted surface must be in good condition and firmly attached to the substrate.

EXPANSION JOINTS

The purpose of the implementation of expansion joints is to divide the continuity of the tiled surface in order to compensate for dimensional changes and deformations to which a multi-layer system consisting of tiles, adhesive and base is subjected;
Joints must be taken into account, both in the adjacent layers and in the cladding.

Seam filling products: profiles made of PVC, aluminium, steel (depending on the intensity of the foreseen walking) or silicone sealants from the Litokol range.

SOLUTION PREPARATION

The product is ready to use and does not require additional preparation.

APPLICATION

Apply the adhesive directly to the substrate using a notched trowel;
The size of the spatula teeth is selected depending on the format of the facing tile and should ensure that the reverse side of the tile is covered with adhesive by 65 - 70%.

LAYING TILES

The tile is laid on the adhesive with pressure to ensure its contact with the adhesive surface;
The open layer time of the product under normal temperature and humidity is 30 minutes;

A hot or windy climate, or a high absorbency of the substrate, can reduce this by several minutes;
Therefore, when working, it is recommended to check the absence of a formed film on the surface of the adhesive more often;
If the film is nevertheless formed, it should be removed from the surface by passing over it with a notched trowel;
The tile is laid with seams, the width of which corresponds to its format;
It is not recommended to lay tiles end-to-end;
When laying, observe expansion and dividing seams;
Leave a gap of at least 5 mm wide along the partitions, as well as at the junction with any other protruding elements;
The lined surface must be protected from water for the first 10 days.

GROUTING THE SURFACE

For grouting, you can use cement grouts of the Litochrom series, epoxy grouts of the Starlike and Epoxystuk X90 series;

For acid-resistant floors, Epoxystuk X90, Starlike and Starlike Defender epoxy grouts are recommended.

GLUEING INSULATION PANELS

Glue can be applied both with a spatula and pointwise, taking into account the time of the open layer;
The amount of glue should ensure reliable fastening of the panels;
To ensure high adhesion when laying the panels, it is necessary to press them well.

ATTENTION

Do not add lime, cement or water to the product;

The product is water-dispersible and its hardening occurs due to the loss of water;
Make sure that the base and tiles have sufficient absorbency to dry the adhesive;

Do not use adhesive for laying non-absorbent tiles on non-absorbent substrates;

Do not use the product for exterior cladding and for surfaces subject to constant contact with water, such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc.;

The product is afraid of the cold, as its basis is an aqueous dispersion of synthetic resins;
To maintain the quality of the adhesive, it should be transported and stored at a temperature not lower than +5°C.

Do not use the product for purposes other than those specified in this technical description.
