BOTAMENT BV 2 | High-quality impregnation and waterproofing, with a silky sheen, for mineral floor surfaces indoors and outdoors.

BOTAMENT BV 2 is suitable for areas with foot or moderate vehicle traffic.

Foundation preparation

The base must meet the following requirements:

clean and unfrozen;

able to bear the load;

cleaned of grease, oil, paint, cement laitance, delamination and construction waste;

Also note

It is necessary to repair cracks in the base with BOTAMENT A 60 or BOTAMENT R 70;
Level uneven ground to avoid puddles.

Application

Primer BOTAMENT BV 2 (transparent): add component B to component A and mix with a low-speed mixer for at least 3 minutes.

Therefore, to avoid mixing errors, pour BOTAMENT BV2 into a clean container and mix again;

Apply the mixed material, using a sheepskin roller, short pile, over the entire surface;

BOTAMENT BV 2 primer, as an impregnation, can be applied in 1 or 2 layers, depending on the condition of the substrate;

Waterproofing BOTAMENT BV 2 (stone grey): add component B to component A and mix with a low-speed mixer for at least 3 minutes;
Therefore, to avoid mixing errors, pour BOTAMENT BV2 into a clean container and mix again;

Apply the mixed material with a sheepskin roller, short pile, on the dried primer, over the entire surface;

Apply the top layer of waterproofing on the dried base layer, using a sheepskin roller with a short pile;

Waterproofing coating with BOTAMENT BV 2 is carried out in at least 2 layers;

To obtain a non-slip surface, the first freshly applied layer of BOTAMENT BV 2 must be sprinkled with dry sand with a fraction of 0.1-0.3 mm;
After the material has cured, sand that has not adhered to the surface must be removed;

Recommendations

Residual moisture content of cement substrates should not exceed 6%;
The age of concrete bases must be at least 28 days;
Adhesive tensile strength of the substrate must be at least 1.5 N/mm2;

BOTAMENT BV 2 must be protected from moisture during curing;
Moreover, the relative humidity must not exceed 85% for at least 2 hours after the material has been applied;
If BOTAMENT BV 2 is applied in rooms without windows or ventilation , or with poor ventilation, it is necessary to ensure that a sufficient amount of fresh air enters the room during the application of the material;

BOTAMENT BV 2 is desirable to knead completely, not in parts;
It is necessary to ensure that there is no moisture from the bottom of the coating;

When using BOTAMENT BV 2 in damp rooms, it is important to apply the material carefully and over the entire substrate (Closed coating without seams);

To obtain optimal adhesion of the material, the floor surface must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and dirt before each application of the material;

BOTAMENT BV 2 may only be mixed with aggregates specified in this data sheet;

For cleaning surfaces made of BOTAMENT BV 2 neutral and slightly alkaline detergents are suitable;

If BOTAMENT BV 2 is used outdoors (under UV exposure), the coating may become somewhat discolored over time. However, this does not affect the properties of the material;
In some cases, soft car tires can also cause discoloration of the waterproofing coating;

People with sensitive skin may experience an allergic reaction when handling reactive resin materials;
To avoid material contact with the skin, we recommend wearing suitable protective clothing;
