Preparation of the composition
-
To achieve the final properties of VIMEPOX MORTAR, it is necessary to mix component A (white paste with resin) and component B (black paste with hardener);
-
Good mixing is achieved when the paste - mixture (A + B) has a uniform gray color;
-
These two components are poured into different containers, in the required proportions;
-
If you need less than the amount contained in the original packaging, mix parts A and B in a clean container using a ratio of A: B = 4:1 by weight;
-
When using VIMEPOX MORTAR, you must take into account the temperature, which significantly affects the shelf life and curing time;
-
At temperatures below 10°C, curing of the A + B mixture is inhibited without changing the system and is completed later when the temperature rises;
-
A wet base has an adverse effect on the epoxy coating: this means that you must allow the wet base to dry (or force-dry it with a wind blower) before applying;
-
Clean instruments after using VIMEPOX MORTAR using VIMEPOX SOLVENT;
-
Installation / gluing of anchors and reinforcing bars VIMEPOX MORTAR, suitable for installation / gluing;
-
Steel anchor bolts (chemical anchor bolts);
-
Concrete reinforcing bars;
-
Due to its thixotropy, VIMEPOX MORTAR can be used on horizontal and vertical surfaces, as well as on ceilings;
-
Holes in concrete are drilled according to the following rules: hole diameter: D = rod diameter d + 6 mm;
-
Hole depth h ≥ 10 d;
-
To avoid strength reduction in each anchor bolt, the following values were determined: radial distance between anchor bolts s ≥ 2 h = 20 d;
-
Distance from a specific edge c ≥ h = 10 d;
Application of the repair compound
-
For proper fastening of the anchors, clean the holes from the powder that remains after drilling the holes, using compressed air;
-
Make sure the concrete is dry;
-
Fill the holes with VIMEPOX MORTAR Paste (Mix A + B), up to about half of their depth, so that the resin overflows after the bar is installed.
Consumption
To fill a volume of 1 liter or cover 1 m2 thick, 1 mm thick, 1.65-2 kg of VIMEPOX MORTAR is required .
Tool Care
The instrument must be cleaned immediately after application of the material using VIMEPOX SOLVENT.
Storage and packaging
-
Store the material in closed containers and places protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature of 10-25 °C;
-
Duration of storage is at least 1 year.
Note and Precautions
-
Avoid contact of resin and epoxy system hardener with eyes, mouth or skin;
-
You should also avoid breathing their vapors;
-
Protect yourself by wearing rubber or plastic gloves;
-
If resin, hardener, or mixtures come into contact with skin, wipe the contact area with a tissue and then wash with cold water and soap or a cleaning cream;
-
The use of cleaning solvents causes additional skin irritation.
