Surface preparation

• Before proceeding with the grouting of ceramic and faience tiles , you need to wait until the adhesive used for laying reaches a sufficient degree of strength;

• Before using grout for joints, it is necessary to clean the surface mechanically, without damaging the ceramics, and moisten it with a wet sponge;

Mixing

• The required amount of water, using a measuring container, is poured into the mixing container;

• Then slowly introduce MasterTile FLX 555 and with the help of a mixer 400-600 rpm, mix for 3-5 minutes, until a homogeneous mass without lumps is achieved;

• The mixture should be left for 3-5 minutes, and then mixed again for 30 seconds, after which the material will be ready for use.

Mode of application

• MasterTile FLX 555 is applied with a rubber trowel to ceramic tiles and fills the laying joints;

• Excess material is removed from the surface of the seams with diagonal movements;

• With deep seams, you must first wait for the shrinkage of the material, and then repeat this action;

• The material must be left to dry until it is resistant to finger pressure, and then the entire surface is cleaned with a damp sponge, and the required amount of water is added to complete the hydration process; 

• Remains of material on the ceramic surface must be removed with a damp sponge and the seams must be finished;

• After the grout has dried (the next day at the latest), the ceramic tiles should be rubbed to a shine until they are dry and clean. 

Consumption

0.15-2 kg/m/sq.

Precautionary measures 

• When using MasterTile FLX 555, if the ambient or surface temperature is below +5°C or above +25°C, an acceptable temperature must be ensured;

• In addition, work should not be carried out at too high temperatures, rainy or windy weather;

• Do not add water or new material to a MasterTile FLX 555 mix that has begun to dry out;

• Ceramic tiles with high absorbency must be soaked with water before use;

• 10-20 minutes after using the material, you need to check its strength by pressing on top with your finger;

• If during this test, the material does not cling to the fingers, then you should proceed to the procedure for adding moisture to the joints filled with mortar;

• Thus, "dusting" of the seams and the formation of cracks on them will be prevented, and an impeccable evenness of the surface will be ensured. 

• The surface cleaning procedure should not be carried out using sawdust. 

Cleaning tools

• After use, used tools and equipment should be rinsed with water;

• MasterTile FLX 555 , once cured, can only be cleaned mechanically.

5 and 20 kg, PE-reinforced kraft paper bag.

Storage

• Storage must be carried out in closed original packaging, in a cool and dry place, avoiding freezing;

• For short-term storage, one-on-one installation is allowed, no more than 3 pallets, shipment must be carried out in the order of receipt;

• For long-term storage, it is not allowed to install pallets one on one. 

Best before date

• 12 months from date of manufacture under appropriate storage conditions. 

• Material in open packaging should be kept tightly closed and should be used within a week;

Security measures

• Do not approach storage facilities during a fire;

• Store products in well-ventilated areas;

• During work, work clothes, protective gloves, goggles and a mask should be used in accordance with health and safety regulations;

• Since uncured materials have an irritating effect, contact of the components with the skin and eyes should not be allowed, and in case of contact, rinse with plenty of water;

• If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention;

• It is forbidden to bring food and drink to the construction site where the material is applied;

• The material must be kept out of the reach of children;
