LITOLIV EXTRA 15 | Self-leveling cement composition of quick setting and drying, for leveling based on a layer of 1 to 15 mm, for internal works.
DESCRIPTION
Self-leveling cement composition of gray color, based on hydraulic binders, inert fillers and special organic additives.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

Intended for leveling horizontal foundations, indoors, with a layer of 1 to 15 mm per application;
- Due to the ease of application and excellent leveling properties, it is especially suitable for obtaining smooth surfaces, without irregularities and cracks, for the subsequent laying of such thin materials as PVC and linoleum.

FOUNDATIONS
-
The foundations must be dry, strong and have sufficient bearing capacity;
-
The surface of the base must be pre-cleaned from dust, traces of fat, oils and other types of contamination.
Preparation is based
-
Porous and dusty cement substrates must be pre-treated with Primer C bonding primer;
-
Concrete bases must be pre-treated with Primer C to improve adhesion;
-
Anhydrite screeds must be cleaned, dusted and primed with Primer C;
- Existing floor coverings made of ceramic tiles or marble chips should first be degreased with a 10% solution of caustic soda, washed and dried, and then treated with the Prepara Fondo primer.
PREPARATION OF THE SOLUTION

Dilution ratio: 6.5 - 7 liters (26 - 28%) of water per 25 kg (1 bag) Litoliv Extra 15;
-
To obtain a solution, mix 6.5-7 liters of clean water and 25 kg (1 bag) of Litoliv Extra 15 dry mixture in a clean container ;
- Slowly pour the powder into the water while constantly stirring with an electric drill with a mixer nozzle until a homogeneous, lump-free solution is obtained.

Attention! Keep the resulting solution for 3 minutes;
-
After re-mixing, the solution is ready for use;
- The life time of the finished solution at a temperature of +23 °C is about 30 minutes, so it is recommended to mix the amount of material that will be used in this period of time.
APPLICATION

The solution is poured directly onto the base and distributed over the surface with a smooth spatula or squeegee, forming a layer of the required thickness;

It is recommended to roll the surface of the solution with a needle roller for better spreading and removal of air bubbles from it;
-
If it is necessary to perform a thin layer, it is recommended to use a V-shaped spatula with teeth size of 6 mm;
-
The solution can also be applied by machine;
- If necessary, the second layer of the leveling mixture is applied to a completely dry base layer (after approximately 3 hours at a temperature of +23 °C) and treated with Primer C primer.
NEXT LAYOUT
- The subsequent laying of tiles, stone, soft and fabric floor coverings can be started after 12 hours, regardless of the thickness of the applied layer of Litoliv Extra 15;

The parquet can be installed after 24 hours, while the minimum thickness of the Litoliv Extra 15 layer must be 3 mm, and before gluing, the final humidity must be measured with a carbide moisture meter (maximum value - 2%);
-
Recommended glue : for laying ceramic tiles, porcelain stoneware, clinker and cotto: cement adhesive mixtures of class C2 - C2F;
- For natural and artificial stone: Litostone K99, Litofast K86, Litoflott K88, Litoelastic.
ATTENTION
-
Do not add lime or cement to the product;
-
Does not apply to bases exposed to the effect of rising moisture;

Do not use the product for outdoor work;
-
Pre-treatment of the Primer C surface improves the adhesion of the leveling layer and facilitates the application of the product due to uniform absorption of the base;
-
Avoid exceeding the recommended amount of water;
-
An excess of water leads to an increase in the hardening time, the probability of the formation of cracks and chips, dust formation and a loose surface;
- The drying process of the leveling mass cannot be accelerated by heating or ventilation;
- Do not apply the product when there is a strong draft in the room;
- In a hot climate, store packages in a dry place protected from the sun;
- Do not use the product for purposes not specified in this technical description.
