Therefore, it was decided to apply a thin layer epoxy top coat, VIMEPOX TOP-COAT.

Epoxy floors for food production

VIMEPOX TOP-COAT provides:

high mechanical strength, combination of relative elasticity and abrasion hardness;
waterproofing and chemical resistance, against the impact of: acids, alkalis, solvents, fuels and lubricants, sea water and detergents;
durability, without damage under weather influences;
VIMEPOX TOP-COAT is used as a protective coating and for decorative painting of cement-concrete structures, screeds, as well as for plastered, asbestos-cement, vertical-horizontal iron and steel surfaces;
VIMEPOX TOP-COAT is designed for sealing (painting) surfaces less than 1mm thick (for repeated painting), which complies with the DIN 28052-1 standard for medium mechanical, both static and kinetic effects (for example, for cars with inflatable tires ) for category 2 with a load of up to 1 n / mm2 = 100 t / m2;
VIMEPOX TOP-COAT has excellent chemical resistance;
the top layer of structures painted with this material does not show any toxicity, as well as the effect of transferring harmful substances to food;
this epoxy compound is a suitable material for floor and wall covering in food production rooms;

A visual inspection of the base is carried out, for the influence of cracks. If they are found, it is required to repair cracks in the concrete floor with repair compounds with a quick set of strength.
The polymer base was polished using a grinding machine.
Removal of old epoxy.
Creating a solid base for a new polymer coating.
Dedusting the surface with an industrial vacuum cleaner.
Treatment and activation of the base with white spirit.

Preparing old resin floors

On the prepared surface of the old floor, two coats of epoxy were applied, 24 hours apart.
